(Blanchette) Alafat, 56, died Friday, May 27, 1994, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, following a long illness.\u00a0 Anita was a native and lifelong resident of Lebanon, NH.\u00a0 She was born September 4, 1937, the daughter of Oscar &amp; Alma (Lemieux) Blanchette.\u00a0 She was a graduate of Lebanon High School \u2013 Class of 1955.\u00a0 She was married to Richard A. Alafat, Sr., on August 10, 1957.\u00a0 Mrs. Alafat was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker for her family, and was a member of Sacred Heart Church of Lebanon.\u00a0 In 1965, she and her husband became part owners of Lander\u2019s Restaurant in Lebanon.<\/p>\n<p>A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, and burial was in the Valley Cemetery in Lebanon.\u00a0 Ricker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include:<\/p>\n<p>Husband, Richard A. Alafat, Sr., of Lebanon; Parents, Oscar P &amp; Alma (Lemieux) Blanchette, of West Lebanon; Sons, Richard A. Jr, of Gorham, Maine, Gary M. (&amp;wife Tricia) of West Canaan; Thomas E. (&amp; wife Kim) of Littleton, Colorado; Brother, Clarence P. Blanchette, of Charleston, Illinois; Granddaughter, Keely of West Canaan, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>from the June 1, 1994 issue of The Country Chronicle Lebanon, NH \u2013 Anita M.
