Cole"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>from the July 26, 1995 issue of The Country Chronicle<\/p>\n<p>Grafton, NH&#8211;Hazel B. (Armstrong) Cole of Route 4 in Grafton Center, died at Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital in Lebanon following a long period of failing health.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs.&nbsp; Cole was born on July 1, 1906 in Manchester, the daughter of William H.&nbsp; and Jessie E.&nbsp; (Harvey) Armstrong.&nbsp; She moved with her family to Grafton in 1907, when she was 1 year old.&nbsp; A resident ever since, she attended Grafton schools and Proctor Academy in Andover, NH.<\/p>\n<p>In 1932 she married Harold H. Cole.&nbsp; They were married for 62 years before Mr. Cole died in 1994.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs.&nbsp; Cole was an avid gardener and enjoyed caring for her home and her family.&nbsp; She was also a former Granger and an active participant in community affairs.<\/p>\n<p>Her only child, Robert H.&nbsp; Cole, died in 1985.&nbsp; Survivors include: her daughter-in-law, Marcelline Cole of St.&nbsp; Johnsbury, VT; three brothers, James H.&nbsp; Armstrong of Wolfeboro, NH, and David W.&nbsp; Armstrong of Danbury, NH; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.<\/p>\n<p>There were no calling hours.&nbsp; Graveside services were held on Saturday, July 15, 1995 at 11 a.m. in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Grafton.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, the family suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Grafton Ambulance Service, c\/o Judy Swirski, Treasurer, Grafton, NH 03240.&nbsp; Chadwick Funeral Service in New London was in charge of arrangements.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>from the July 26, 1995 issue of The Country Chronicle Grafton, NH&#8211;Hazel B.
