Laconia, NH–Alice Whitcomb Bryant, 77, died on October 15, 1995 at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, NH.\u00a0 She was born on November 22, 1917 in Ipswich, MA to Charles M. and Ellen (Whitcomb) Craton.\u00a0 She attended school in Ipswich, MA and Hillsboro, NH after which she attended Jackson College, Tufts University.\u00a0 She married Richard W. Bryant August 30, 1945.\u00a0 They lived in Enfield for most of the intervening years, moving to Gilford in 1982 and Laconia in 1992.\u00a0 She was employed by the National Bank of Lebanon for many years and was branch manager of the West Lebanon office.\u00a0 Mrs.\u00a0 Bryant was a member of the Redham Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and a charter member of the Enfield Community Church.\u00a0 Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Lebanon with burial following in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Enfield.\u00a0 There were no calling hours.\u00a0 In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Community Health & Hospice, PO Box 578, Laconia, NH\u00a0 03247.<\/p>\n
Survivors include: a son, Richard W.\u00a0 Bryant of Colorado Springs, CO;\u00a0 a son, Robert H.\u00a0 Bryant of Belmont, NH; a sister, Evelyn Chase of Corea, ME;\u00a0 three granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.\u00a0 She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Bryant on April 23,1994.<\/p>\n
