{"id":305,"date":"2019-01-05T19:07:12","date_gmt":"2019-01-05T19:07:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/canaanlibrary.org\/history\/?p=305"},"modified":"2019-01-05T19:07:12","modified_gmt":"2019-01-05T19:07:12","slug":"roger-kenneth-warren","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/canaanlibrary.org\/history\/?p=305","title":{"rendered":"Roger Kenneth Warren"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>from the November 1, 1995 issue of The Country Chronicle<\/p>\n<p>Enfield, NH&#8211;Roger Kenneth Warren, 72, died on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the McKerly Healthcare Center in Lebanon, NH.\u00a0 The son of Harold O.\u00a0 and Mildred Susan (Vinal) Warren, he was born on April 26, 1923 in Dracut, MA. He graduated from Enfield High School in the class of 1941 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy.\u00a0 He served during WWII and was honorably discharged as a 1st Class Petty Officer in 1945.\u00a0 In 1951 he graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.\u00a0 He married Deborah Sloan on April 24, 1943 in Manchester, CT.\u00a0 He had been a resident of Enfield most of his life.\u00a0 Mr.\u00a0 Warren was employed by the State of New Hampshire Fish &amp; Game Department as a Biologist and in 1959 he became a Conservation Officer retiring from this position 1960.\u00a0 He later worked as a sales representative for the Joy Manufacturing Company.\u00a0 He founded Shaker Glen Development Company in 1966, a building and development company in Enfield.\u00a0 He retired from this company and continued to sell and develop land in this area.\u00a0 He served two terms as a NH State Legislator, served on the Enfield Planning Board and School Board.\u00a0 He was a member of the Enfield Lions Club and a past member of the Alstead Masonic Lodge.\u00a0 He was a life member of the Enfield Outing Club.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial services will be announced at a later date.\u00a0 Ricker Funeral Home of Lebanon was in charge of arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include: his wife, Deborah Warren of Enfield; a son, Kenneth Warren of Lebanon; William Warren of Enfield; a daughter, Gail Warren of Seattle, WA; a brother, Gilbert Warren of Laconia, NH; a brother, Norman Warren of CT; a sister, Helen Reuell of Rochester; a sister, Marion Brown of Lebanon; a sister, Gertrude Seaman of West Newbury, MA; three grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and cousins.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>from the November 1, 1995 issue of The Country Chronicle Enfield, NH&#8211;Roger Kenneth Warren, 72, died on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the McKerly Healthcare Center in Lebanon, NH.\u00a0 The son of Harold O.\u00a0 and Mildred Susan (Vinal) Warren, he was born on April 26, 1923 in Dracut, MA.
