{"id":399,"date":"2019-01-05T19:03:54","date_gmt":"2019-01-05T19:03:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/canaanlibrary.org\/history\/?p=399"},"modified":"2019-01-05T19:03:54","modified_gmt":"2019-01-05T19:03:54","slug":"pansy-hattie-sawyer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/canaanlibrary.org\/history\/?p=399","title":{"rendered":"Pansy Hattie Sawyer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>from the December 11, 1996 issue of The Country Chronicle<\/p>\n<p>Enfield, NH&#8211;Pansy Hattie Sawyer, 76, passed away on November 30, 1996 at her home on Prospect St.&nbsp; in Enfield.&nbsp; The daughter of the late Carl and Ida (Bressett) Smith, she was born in Hanover on February 23, 1920.&nbsp; She attended school in Lyme, Hanover, and Enfield and went to work at a young age at the Baltic Woolen Mill in Enfield.&nbsp; After working in the mill for 30 years, she became supervisor of linen service at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover where she worked until she retired in 1990.&nbsp; She was married to Roland Sawyer on October 3, 1947.&nbsp; She loved animals and took many strays into her home and cared for them.&nbsp; She also loved and cared for her grandchildren in her home.<\/p>\n<p>Friends called at the Ricker Funeral Home in Enfield on Monday evening from 7-9 p.m.&nbsp; Funeral services were held at the Funeral services were held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 2 p.m.&nbsp; with Rev.
