Canaan, NH–Richard Roger Buckwold, 51, died December 31, 1996 in Canaan, NH. He was a life long resident of Canaan and after attending Canaan High School he served in the Army National Guard. For many years he was a member of the Canaan Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed the outdoors, particularly gardening and raising animals. He worked at the International Packing Company in Bristol for many years, was self employed as a logger, and for the past 10 years has owned and operated Down to Earth Excavation Company of Canaan. There will be no calling hours.<\/p>\n
The family suggest in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Canaan FAST Squad, PO Box 35, Canaan, NH 03741.<\/p>\n
Survivors include: mother, Rose Buckwold, Canaan; former wife, Norma Buckwold Green, Canaan; brother, Charles Buckwold, Vero Beach, FL; brother, Walter Buckwold, Orange, NH; brother, Norman Buckwold, Canaan; sister, Betty Mutney, Grantham, NH; sister, Nancy Garland, Middletown, CT; sister, Lois Sanborn, Canaan; sister, Susan Ignacio, Canaan. Also numerous other relatives. Preceded in death by his father Roger Frederick Buckwold.<\/p>\n
Arrangements were under the direction of Ricker Funeral Home of Enfield.<\/p>\n\n\n
