{"id":143,"date":"2017-03-02T19:54:45","date_gmt":"2017-03-02T19:54:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/canaanlibrary.org\/history\/?p=143"},"modified":"2017-03-02T19:54:45","modified_gmt":"2017-03-02T19:54:45","slug":"thelma-rosalie-seamans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canaanlibrary.org\/history\/?p=143","title":{"rendered":"Thelma Rosalie Seamans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>from the October 12, 1994 issue of The Country Chronicle<\/p>\n<p>Grafton, N.H. \u2013 Thelma Rosalie Seamans (73) of Grafton, N.H. passed away October 2<sup>nd<\/sup> at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.\u00a0 Born June 28, 1921, the daughter of Clarence Hall and Georgia (Dorr) Hall in Sanford, Maine, she was a resident of Grafton most all of her life and was a graduate of Canaan High School.\u00a0 She was married to Howard Archie Seamans on July 1, 1945.\u00a0 Mr. Seamans died in May of this year.\u00a0 She worked as a spinner in the Baltic Mills for many years.\u00a0 Most of her life was devoted to her family.\u00a0 She was known by many as \u201cGram\u201d Seamans because of her interest and generosity to many children in this area.<\/p>\n<p>Friends called at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon on Thursday, Oct. 6, from 7-9 p.m.\u00a0 A funeral service was held on Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the East Grafton Christian Union Church, the Rev. Kevin Schwamb officiated.\u00a0 Burial followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Grafton.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include: a daughter, Sandra Mae Barker of Enfield; a son, Thomas H. Seamans of Grafton; a daughter, Anita Seamans of Grafton; a son, Alan Seamans of Grafton; a daughter, Elaine Stone of Enfield; a son, Howard A.
