Sanville"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>from the August 14, 1996 issue of The Country Chronicle<\/p>\n<p>West Lebanon, NH&#8211;Ethel Belle Sanville, 76, died Monday, August 5, 1996 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.\u00a0 She was born in South Barnard, VT, November 7, 1919, the daughter of the late Alton &amp; Etta (Minor) Badger and attended a local one-room-schoolhouse.\u00a0 A resident of Lebanon and West Lebanon for most of her life, she was married to Edward H.\u00a0 Sanville in 1946.\u00a0 Mr.\u00a0 Sanville died in 1964.\u00a0 She was the proprietor of the former Dartmouth Variety Store in Lebanon for many years.\u00a0 Ethel was a member of the Holy Redeemer Church of West Lebanon.\u00a0 She had a green thumb and enjoyed plants and gardening, but her greatest love was of her children and family.<\/p>\n<p>A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in the Holy Redeemer Church of West Lebanon.\u00a0 Burial followed in the Mt.\u00a0 Calvary Cemetery in Lebanon, NH.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include: sons, Julian\u00a0 A.\u00a0 Badger Sr., Lebanon, NH, Alfred C.\u00a0 Sanville, Ocala, FL, Raymond A.\u00a0 Sanville, Plainfield, NH; daughters, Eva M.\u00a0 Duff, Lebanon, NH, Violet J.\u00a0 Lee, White River Jct., VT;\u00a0 a stepson, Albert Sanville Sr., Grafton, NH; a stepdaughter, Helena Kelley, Enfield, NH; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward H.\u00a0 Sanville in 1964; stepsons, Joseph Sanville and Edward F.\u00a0 Sanville.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements were made by Ricker Funeral Home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>from the August 14, 1996 issue of The Country Chronicle West Lebanon, NH&#8211;Ethel Belle Sanville, 76, died Monday, August 5, 1996 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.\u00a0 She was born in South Barnard, VT, November 7, 1919, the daughter of the late Alton &amp; Etta (Minor) Badger and attended a local one-room-schoolhouse.\u00a0 A &hellip; <a href=\"https:\/\/canaanlibrary.org\/history\/?p=375\" class=\"more-link\">Continue reading <span class=\"screen-reader-text\">Ethel B.
