Lebanon, NH–Helen R. Smith, 84, died Thursday morning February 19, 1998 at the Alice Peck Day Extended Care Facility in Lebanon, NH. She was born in Coram, NY November 28, 1913. She had been a resisdent of this area since 1985 having previously lived in Epson, NH and had been employed as a Registered Nurse at the McKerley Nursing Home in Concord, NH. She enjoyed gardening and collecting antiques.
Survivors include: a son, Lyell C. Smith, Jr., Orange, NH; a daughter, Madeline C. Steed, Alexandria, VA; 3 sisters, Marjorie Hawkins, Port Jefferson, L.I., NY, Mary Martin, Mastic Beach, L.I., NY, Savilla O’Brien, Oreland, PA; a brother, George K. Smith, Oreland, PA; and several nieces and nephews. Helen is preceded in death by a brother, Edward Smith; and a sister, Josephine Gehring.
Services will be held on Long Island, NY at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in memory of Hellen may be made to: Organizations involved in the research of Parkinson’s Disease. Arrangements are under the directions of the Ricker Funeral Home of Lebanon, NH.
