Marion E. Bill

Enfield, NH–Marion Ester Bill, 90, of Enfield, died Wednesday, August 9,2000 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

She was born November 10, 1909, in Indian River, Maine; a daughter of the Rev. Edwin E. and Alice G. (Stark) Lombard, and attended schools in Lakeport, NH, Whitefield, NH, Schenectady, NY, North Adams, MA, Rutland and Canada.

On August 6, 1933, she was married to George W. Bill, who died November 8, 1997. She will best be remembered for her embroidery, homemade bread and baked beans. The most important part of her life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of St, Helena’s Church in Enfield.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, George W. Jr.; a daughter, Betty Ann Bill; a sister, Ethel M. Tenny; and four brothers, Ernest, George, Albert and Arthur Lombard.

Survivors include eight daughters, Pricilla Dube of Dummer, NH; Bernadette Charbono of Canaan; and Alice LeCain; and Elaine Townsend of Enfield; Regina Decato of Lakeland, FL; Gloria Lehr of Ocala, FL; Theresa Hamlin of Center Harbor, NH; and Joyce Tynan of Kathleen, FL; four sons, Roger of Ludlow, MA; Philip of Goffstown, NH; Francis of Enfield and Peter of Milan, NH; 44 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
