Henry M. Winter

Enfield, NH–Henry M. Winter, 80, died Saturday, December 21, 2002 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born in Brooklyn, NY May 14, 1922, a son of the late Mary (Major) and William West Winter. He attended the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY and DePaul University. For many years he was employed by the U.S. Government at the Panama Canal Zone Co.; the Dept. of the Air Force; and the Dept. of Defense. He was married to Nancy (Tobin) on June 8, 1948.

He was predeceased by his wife Nancy (Tobin) Winter who died June 6, 1998; and a brother William West Winter.

Survivors include a daughter: Katherine Elizabeth Oaks of Charlton, NY; and two sons: Andrew Aylwin Winter of Lincoln University, PA and Henry M. Winter Jr. of Mulberry, FL; two sisters: Mary Fanning of OR and Katherine Winter of Jennersville, PA; four grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to The Alzheimer’s Assoc., 10 Ferry St.-suite 419, Concord, NH 03301.
