Olive M. Whitcomb

Enfield – Olive M. Whitcomb, 72, died June 23 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

She was born on Sept. 20, 1920, in Sharon, the daughter of Homer and Maude (Leonard) Moore.  She graduated from South Royalton High School and was married to Guy H. Whitcomb on Aug. 29, 1940, in Sharon.  They lived in West Lebanon until moving to Enfield in 1967.  She worked at the Gulfside Restaurant as a hostess an later as office manager at Armco Steel in Wilder and then for Twin State Cable Television in West Lebanon until her retirement in 1984.

She was a former member of the Emblem Club of the Hartford Lodge of Elks in Hartford.

She is survived by her husband of Enfield; a son, Charles M, of Springfield, NH; three daughters, Sandra Finley of Austin, Texas, Linda C. McDonald of South Strafford, and Marilyn Essex of Flintstone, GA; a brother, Elmer Moore of Sharon; two sisters, Josephine Leavitt of East Barnard and Nellie Rollins of Forrestdale, RI; and nieces and nephews.
