Thelma L. Smith

Hartford, VT–Thelma L. Smith, 71, died Saturday, November 5, 1994 at her home. She was born on May 3, 1923, in Pike, NH, the daughter of James and Maude (Kimball) Barlett.

Mrs. Smith grew up in Lebanon, and West Lebanon.  She was married to Malcolm J. Smith  in 1945 in Lebanon and has lived in Hartford most of the time since then.  Mr. Smith died September 10, 1993.  Mrs. Smith was a devoted mother and wife.

She leaves two sons: Robert Stone of Lebanon and Malcolm J. Smith, Jr. of Hadley, MA; five daughters–Judith Mossey of Hartford, Louise Woodworth of Orange, Freda Grace of Canaan, Rose Hollis of Enfield, and Ann Steller of Orange; 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; four nieces and a nephew.  She was predeceased by three brothers, James Bartlett, Jr., Samuel Bartlett and Johnny Bartlett.

Friends called at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction and burial followed in the West Farms Cemetery in Canaan.
