Daniel Henry O’Day

Lantana, FL–Daniel Henry O’Day, age 68, died suddenly on January 29,1996 at his home in Lantana, FL.  A native of Enfield, NH, he graduated from Enfield High School in 1947.  He enlisted in the U.S. Army , serving during WWII.  Following discharge, he went to school to become a foreman in the area woolen mills, working in Lebanon, Enfield, and Bridgewater, VT, retiring in 1990, after 50 years of service.  He was married to Janet Dyba in 1950 and they made their home in Lebanon, Enfield, and Bridewater, VT.  They moved to Florida in 1990 following Mr.  O’Day’s retirement.  He was a member of the VFW in Lebanon and the Lebanon Elks Lodge.  His children remember him  as being a very loving, caring, wonderful father and devoted husband.

Survivors include:  Wife Janet O’Day, of Lantana, FL; daughters Peggy Vincent and Patricia Rollman of Enfield, NH; sons, Michael of Lebanon, NH, Henry of Lake Worth, FL and Kevin of Lantana, FL; a brother, Richard O’Day of Lantana, FL; 19 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon, NH was in charge of the arrangements.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Enfield.
