Rueberta Mary Tyler

Enfield, NH–Reuberta Mary Tyler, 80, died Saturday, Dec.  7, 1996 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH following a brief illness.  She was born in St.  Johnsbury, VT Oct.  13, 1916, (the daughter of the late John and Flora (MacLeod) McBain.  She grew up in St. Johnsbury and moved to this area in the 20’s.  She was married in 1937 to Walter Smith who died in 1957.  A graduate of West Lebanon High School-Class of 1934.  She had been employed by the Dartmouth Printing Co. for 28 years retiring in 1981.  She was a former member of the VFW Aux. of West Lebanon, NH.  She enjoyed having all of her family around her and loved parties and family get-togethers.  She enjoyed doing needlework.

Funeral service were held Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the West Lebanon Congregational Church.  The Rev. Peter Floss officiated.  Burial will follow in the West Lebanon Cemetery.

Survivors include: Husband, Bert H. Tyler, Enfield, NH; Daughter, Thelma Mossey, West Lebanon, NH; Daughter, Mary Smith, White River Jct., VT; Son, Kenneth Smith, Lebanon, NH; Son, Charles Smith, Enfield, NH; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins; also aunts and uncles in Canada.

Preceded in death by: First husband, Walter Smith; Son, Clint Smith; Sister, Charlotte (infant); Step brother, Donald McBain; Step brother, Mick McBain; Step brother, William McBain; Step bother John McBain; Step bother, George McBain; Grandson, Richard Labine, Jr.
