Michael Richard Darling

Enfield, NH–Michael Richard Darling, 49, of Enfield, died suddenly at his home on Wednesday afternoon. He was born in New Bedford, MA on Sept. 26, 1950 a son of Richard and Shirley (McLeavy) Darling. After graduating from Bishop Stang High School he attended the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth, MA. He enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in 1970. In 1982 he was married to Debra Beaulieu and they were stationed up and down the East Coast until he retired from the Coast Guard as a Chief Warrant Officer in 1996. They have made their home in Enfield since 1996. Since coming to the Upper Valley he has been employed by Post #22, American Legion of Lebanon as a bartender. He was a member of Post 22 American Legion of Lebanon and the Chief Warrant Officer Association of the United States Coast Guard.

He leaves his mother Shirley Darling of Dartmouth, MA; his wife, Debra of Enfield; 2 daughters, Kelley and Christine Darling of Bar Harbor, ME; a step-son, Gene Gray of Enfield; a sister, Kathleen Wing of Marion, MA; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call at the Ricker Funeral Home on School Street in Lebanon on Friday evening from 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 am at the Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Claremont, NH at 2 pm on Saturday.
