Francis Raymond Ibey

Enfield, N.H. – Francis Raymond Ibey, 70, died Monday morning, April 18, 1994 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in White River Jct., VT.  He was born in Keene, N.H. February 20, 1924, the son of the late Everett F. & Ida C. (Evans) Ibey.  He was a lifelong Enfield resident and had neem employed by Split Ballbearing Co, for over 20 years.  Mr. Ibey was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II; a member of the American Legion Post #22 of Lebanon; and was a Past Commander of the former Enfield Post.

He was married to Marion H. (Wheeler) July 9. 1945.

There were no calling hours, a Memorial Mass was celebrated Thursday morning, April 21st, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Helena’s Church in Enfield.  Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

The family requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Enfield F.A.S.T. Squad, Enfield, NH 03748; or to the Hospice Unit of the Veterans Administration Hospital, N. Hartland Rd., White River Jct., VT 05001; or for prayers to be said at St. Helena’s Church, RR#2, Box 26, Enfield, NH 03748.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Ricer Funeral Home in Lebanon.

Survivors include: his wife, Marion H. (Wheeler) of Enfield; a son, Timothy F. of Enfield; a son, Stephen T. of Grafton; a son, Denis C. of Grantham; a son David M. of Florence, MT, a daughter, Doreen M. Slavin of Bridgewater, MA; a son, Gerald R. of Lebanon; a sister, Jane Gosselin of Enfield; a brother, Ernest Ibey of Missoula, MT; an aunt, Dorothy Evans of West Palm Beach, FL; twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his brother, James Ibey and a sister, Dorothy Stewart.
