Richard G. Bean

Enfield, NH–Richard George Bean, 66, died Tuesday, November 7, 1995 at the Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Concord, NH after being transferred from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.  Mr.  Bean was born in Lebanon, NH April 30, 1929, the son of the late George & Lena (LaBombard) Bean.  He was married to Barbara (Griggs) August 25, 1962.  Mr. Bean had been employed by New Jersey Machine Co.  of Lebanon retiring in 1989 after 15 years of service.

He was a member of the Lebanon Lodge of Elks BPOE #2099; and the American Legion Post #26 of White River Jct., VT.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved the out-of-doors and wildlife.

Friends called at the Ricker Funeral Home in Enfield on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m.  Funeral services were conducted on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev.  Malcom Grobe officiating.  Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Enfield.  Memorial contribitions in memory of Mr.  Bean may be made to a charity of one’s choice or directed to the family to help defray expenses.

Survivors include:  his wife, Barbara (Griggs) of Enfield, NH; a son, Mark Bean of White River Jct., VT; a son, Kevin Bacon of Enfield, NH; a brother, Stephen “Rex” Bean of Enfield, NH; a sister, Arline Green of Lebanon; a sister, Geraldine Greene of Hartland, VT; and four grandchildren.

Margaret Helen C. Zvacs

White River Jct., VT–Margaret Helen C. Zvacs, 59, of White River Jct., VT passed away June 19, 1995 at the D.H.M.C. in Lebanon, NH after a very long illness.

She was born February 16, 1936 in Newburyport, MA.  The daughter of the late Frank A. Currier and Ruth C. Bean.  Her husband Floyd Zvacs died in December 1985.  She was a homemaker and mother of four daughters:  Helen LaPlaca of Lebanon,  NH;  Mary Ann Cheney of Canaan, NH;  two sons:  Clude Tardie of Wilder, VT;  Perley Smith III of Gorham, VT;  four sisters:  Phyllis Snedeker of Pittsfield, NH; Barbara Lewis of Canaan, NH; Joan C. Adams of Yuma, AZ; Betty Hartford of Franklin, NH; one brother, George A. Plante of Rockford, MI; and a sister-in-law, Pauline Fletcher of Grafton, NH; ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The cremation and graveside services were held on June 24, 1995 at 10 a.m. at the West Farms Cemetery in West Canaan, NH.  Knights Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
