Marguerite S. Shuttleworth

Canaan, NH–Marguerite Sarah Shuttleworth, 81, died Tuesday morning February 12, 2003 at the Hanover Hill Nursing Home in Manchester, NH. She was born in Hinsdale, NH June 17, 1921, a daughter of the late Mildred (Welch) and Patrick J. Coyle. A resident of Canaan for most of her life, she was an active member of the community. She was a former member of the Grange, the Canaan Methodist Church and the Ladies Aid Society. She was also an active member and held various offices in the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She was married to Harold E. Shuttleworth who died June 17, 1985.

Survivors include a daughter: Louise H. Perrier of Candia, NH; a son: William A. Shuttleworth of Fair Haven, NJ; a sister: Harriet Bean of Allenstown, NH; 2 brothers: Richard Munn of Deerfield, MA and David Munn of West Lebanon, NH; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday February 18 at 1:00 pm in the Canaan United Methodist Church with the Rev. Patricia Williams officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Wells Cemetery in Canaan, NH.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to: The American Diabetes Assoc., PO Box 2680, North Canto, OH 44720 or to: Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ricker Funeral Home of Enfield, NH.
