Anne F. Jamison

Canaan, NH – Anne F. Jamison, 73, died in her sleep Tuesday, May 31st, 1994, at the Olympic Fields Home in Illinois, the home of their daughter, Keith Roy.

Mrs. Jamison was the daughter of the Rev. Dascomb E. and Anne (Ramsey) Forbush.  Mr. and Mrs. Forbush retired to Canaan in 1945 after being summer residents since 1923.

After her graduation from Keuka College in New York in 1942, she married Russell Barnet Jamison, a U.S. Army Air Force pilot.

The family resided in Appleton, Wis. Cincinnati, Ohio, New Canaan, Ct. and Short Hills, N.J. visiting Canaan in the summers.  In 1986, Mr. and Mrs. Jamison made their permanent home in Canaan.

Her husband, ”Barn” Jamison, was a selectman of Canaan from 1989 until his death in 1992.

Mrs. Jamison was a member if the Canaan Lioness Club, the Canaan Bird and Garden Club, the Canaan Lake Association and the United Methodist Women in Canaan.  She volunteered in the coffee shop at Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital for the Auxiliary for seven years.

Survivors include two daughters, Keith Roy and Beth Cifrodelli; three sons, Russell B. Jamison, Dascomb D. Jamison and Major James F. Jamison; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, three brothers, Dascomb, Ramsey and Reed Forbush.

There will be no funeral.  A memorial service will be held at Old North Church in Canaan on July 27 at 5 p.m.
