Robert Lawrence Landin

South Royalton, VT–Robert Lawrence Landin, 28, of South Royalton, died Wednesday, February 28, 1996, in St.  Anne de Sorel, Cananda, after falling through the ice while fishing.

He was born in Clearwater, FL on April 21, 1967, a son of the late Thomas P.  Landin and Virginia (Reney) Landin.  He attended schools in Hartford and Woodstock, and had been employed as a cook by the former Quechee Gin Mill Restaurant in Quechee, VT and most recently by Simpson Construction Co.  in Wilder, VT.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and especially fishing.

Survivors include:  his mother, Virginia Moore of West Lebanon, NH; a brother, Mark Moore of Marblehead, MA; his maternal grandmother, Grace Reney of Enfield, NH; uncles–Kenneth Reney of Plainfield, NH and Walter Reney of Enfield, NH; his aunts–Dory Clifford of Hawaii and Jean Hinesley of Missouri; his fiancee, Michele Alexander and her son, Ryan; and many cousins.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Robert L.  Landin Memorial Fund in care of Virginia Moore, PO Box 1355, White River Junction, VT  05001.  Ricker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
