Margaret Louise Cameron

West Lebanon, NH–Margaret L.  “Peggy” Cameron, 69, died Monday, June 24, 1996 at the Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, NH.  She was born in Hanover, NH December 2, 1926 the daughter of William & Eva (Baker) Pitkin.  A lifelong area resident, she was a graduate of Hartford High School, VT and Brattleboro, VT School of Nursing.  She had worked as a LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) at the former Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover, NH and later at Brookside Nursing Home in Wilder, VT.  She attended the West Lebanon Congregational Church and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary of White River Jct., VT.  She enjoyed dancing and country music, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family.  The Ricker Funeral Home of Lebanon, NH was in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include:  her husband, Keith W.  Cameron of West Lebanon; a son, Earle W.  Hill of White River Jct., VT; a son, Patrick G.  Hill of Loudon, NH; a daughter, Janet E.  LaBombard of Barre, VT; a stepson James Hill of Lyndonville, VT; a stepson, Robert Hill of ME; a brother, Charles Pitkin of Enfield, NH; a brother, Paul Pitkin of Albany, NY; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by a son, Steven J. Hill who died in 1986; a son, John A.  Hill who died in 1956; a sister, Elizabeth McFee who died in 1988.
