Joseph Odlin Theriault

Canaan – Joseph Odlin Theriault, 82, died Thursday evening at the Grafton County Nursing Home in North Haverill.

He was born in Packardsville, New Brunswick, Canada, Sept. 25, 1911, the son of Alex and Alma (Albert) Theriault.  Mr. Theriault came to the United States in 1929.  He had been a longtime resident of Canaan and lived at the Rogers Home in Lebanon before moving to North Haverhill two years ago.

For many years, Mr. Theriault worked as a self-employed lumberman and was employed by the State of New Hampshire Department of Transportation for five years prior to his retirement.

Mr. Theriault loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his son, Guy C. Plume of Lebanon; two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by 16 brothers and sisters.

Family and friends may gather at the Ricker Funeral Home, 56 School St. in Lebanon, Monday at 7 p.m.  A memorial service will be conducted at 8 p. m.  Burial will be at a later date in the Valley Cemetery in Lebanon.
