Daniel G. Westover, Sr.

Claremont, NH–Daniel G. Westover, Sr., 62, died Monday, January 14, 2002 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. A lifelong area resident, he had been a resident of Vincennes for just the past year. He was born in Hanover, NH on February 17, 1939 and grew up in Claremont, NH. He graduated from Stevens High School, was a veteran of the US Navy and was married to Linda Muzzey. Mr. Westover was employed by Thermal Dynamics for over 30 years. He was a member of the Lebanon Lodge of Elks and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling and snowmobiling. He will be greatly missed by his family and lifelong friends Bud and Joan Davis of NY.

He was predeceased by his wife, Linda, who died June 19, 1996; his parents, Kathryn and Harris Owen; and a brother, Bill Owen.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Julie Ann DeCamp of Enfield, NH and Cheryl Ann Larocque of Springfield, NH; a son, Daniel Gene Westover, Jr. of Canaan, NH; a sister, Marilyn Carr of Claremont, NH; 5 brothers, Gene Owen of Charlestown, NH, Vern Owen of Barnet, VT, Paul Westover of VT, Ralph Owen of Franklin, NH and Milton Owen of FL; 7 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Burial will be in the spring in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Enfield, NH. Ricker Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral.

Linda Ann Westover

Enfield, NH–Linda Ann Westover, 53, died Wednesday, June 19, 1996 at her home following a long illness.  She was born in Lebanon, NH June 1, 1943, the daughter of Charles H.  & Pauline H.. (Boucher) Muzzey Sr.  A lifelong resident of the Enfield/Lebanon area she was married to Daniel G.  Westover Sr.  Nov.  23, 1960.  She had enjoyed being a Headstart Teacher in Canaan, NH and was later employed by Thermal Dynamics for 19 years until her illness.  Linda enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling.  Her favorite past-time was playing BINGO with her friends.  Giving without expectation was her best asset.

Friends called at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon Friday evening from 7-9 p.m.  Funeral services were conducted on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev.  Thomas Warner officiating.  Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Enfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that memorial contributions be made to The Visiting Nurse Alliance of VT & NH (VNA/VNH), 20 Main St., White River Jct., VT 05001 or to Hospice of the Upper Valley, 325 Mount Support Road, Lebanon, NH 03766.

Survivors include:  her husband, Daniel G.  Westover, Sr. of Enfield; her mother, Pauline H.  (Boucher) Muzzey of Enfield; a son, Daniel G.  Westover Jr.  of Canaan; a daughter, Cheryl A.  Churchill of Enfield; a daughter, Julie A.  Westover of Canaan; a daughter, Monda L.  Christy of Canaan; a sister, Pauline Montague of Lebanon, NH; a brother, Charles H.  Muzzey Jr.  of Enfield; a brother, Michael Muzzey of Enfield;  a brother, Ronald L.  Muzzey of Enfield; a sister, Donna L.  Muzzey of Lebanon, NH; a brother, Timothy A.  Muzzey of Harwich, MA; six grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
