Canaan, NH–Oscar Dean Buzzell, 84, died on September 18, 1999, at Brookside Nursing Home in Hartford, VT.
The son of Andrew L. Buzzell and Maude Joyce, he was born on December 14, 1914 in West Stewartstown, NH.
He had been a resident of Canaan since the early 50’s, where he owned and operated a family farm with his wife, Mary Kilton, whom he married on December 9, 1940. Mrs. Buzzell died on March 17, 1990. Mr. Buzzell also worked at Dartmouth College and the Lebanon Excelsior Mill for many years. He loved dogs and horses.
There were no calling hours. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 21st, at 2:00 pm in the Canaan Street Cemetery in Canaan.
Survivors include:
Daughters, Bernice Braley and Linda Gardner of Canaan, a son, Edward Buzzell of Canaan, 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Buzzell was preceded in death by his brothers, LaVern, Carl and Lionel, and his sisters, Hazel Fox and Mildred May. Ricker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
