Lebanon, NH – Anita M. (Blanchette) Alafat, 56, died Friday, May 27, 1994, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, following a long illness. Anita was a native and lifelong resident of Lebanon, NH. She was born September 4, 1937, the daughter of Oscar & Alma (Lemieux) Blanchette. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School – Class of 1955. She was married to Richard A. Alafat, Sr., on August 10, 1957. Mrs. Alafat was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker for her family, and was a member of Sacred Heart Church of Lebanon. In 1965, she and her husband became part owners of Lander’s Restaurant in Lebanon.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, and burial was in the Valley Cemetery in Lebanon. Ricker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Husband, Richard A. Alafat, Sr., of Lebanon; Parents, Oscar P & Alma (Lemieux) Blanchette, of West Lebanon; Sons, Richard A. Jr, of Gorham, Maine, Gary M. (&wife Tricia) of West Canaan; Thomas E. (& wife Kim) of Littleton, Colorado; Brother, Clarence P. Blanchette, of Charleston, Illinois; Granddaughter, Keely of West Canaan, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
