Linda “Lyn” Strobel

St. Cloud, MN–Linda “Lyn” Strobel, 50, a resident of St. Cloud since July, died at St. Cloud Hospital.

She was born Nov. 17, 1948 in Greenfield, MA, a daughter of Edward and Estelle (Vysocky) Marine and grew up in Canaan.

In 1968, she moved to Tulsa, OK, and in 1988 to Fredericksburg, VA. Where she lived for 10 years and was campus coordinator at Strayer University for five years. She also received her degree in business at Strayer.

Survivors include two sons Tony Makres and Kevin Makres of Tulsa. Her mother and stepfather Robert Monroe of Canaan, 2 brothers Robert Marini of Franklin and Ronald Monroe of Boston, 2 sisters, Angela Rakotz of St. Cloud and Teresa Bolduc of King Goerge, VA and 3 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lyn Strobel Scholarship Fund, Strayer University, Fredericksburg, VA.
